When our expert borehole technicians perform an annual maintenance inspection we start above ground and check:

  1. Borehole Cap: The condition of the cap and seals indicates whether any contaminants may have entered through the borehole opening.
  2. Water Odour: Any unusual odours or smells coming from the borehole indicates potential water supply contamination issues.
  3. Electrical Wiring: A visual check determines whether the caps are secure and the wires have no frays.
  4. Casing: Check the casing to verify there is no visible damage or corrosion.
  5. Concrete Pad: Certain properties and borehole types require a concrete pad surrounding the borehole casing to prevent sinking and seepage.

B. Borehole Equipment Inspection:

  1. Water Pipe and Wiring: Pulling the drop pipe allows us to ensure the pipe has no corrosion or damage, the couplings are tight, and the wiring has no frays.

Solar-Powered Boreholes Installed in Gwanda, Zimbabwe!

Solar-Powered Boreholes have been installed in Gwanda community, Zimbabwe by a local non-governmental organisation, Hand in Hand Zimbabwe (HiH Zim) .  The project running under the Green Enterprise Project is meant to transform lives of rural people across the country. HiH Zim has constructed and installed four solar-powered boreholes at four community gardens in the district, a development that has seen farmers in the area increase crop production. Gwanda, which falls within agro-ecological Region V and receives an annual average rainfall of 477mm, has the highest record of crop failure. Solar-Powered Boreholes Installed in Gwanda, Zimbabwe!
